If you haven’t noticed yet there were quite a few changes to the site layout yesterday. I decided with the year anniversary right around the corner it was a good time to update the site.
Lets start with the new logo; props to Fresh Beer Webguy for free-hand drawing the logo. We both sat down one night with the idea of keeping the Mexican theme running on, so a guy passed out under a sombrero was the first and last thing to come to our mind. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook then you have seen this before. Keep your eyes peeled for some DosBeerigos shirts in the near future (GABF!)
Next is the layout, I struggled between adding more ad space to attempt to make some hosting fees back at a quicker pace. While visiting some other friends sites that were recently updated the same way I decided against it. I starting this thing just for fun with a great friend. We had no intention of making cash off of it, and I am going to stick to my guns. So only one ad on the new page.
Video is gone on the left side?!?! Yeah well I am working on a streaming sidebar that will allow you to watch the DosBeerigos video beer reviews. So keep your eyes open for that.
Finally, I was able to update the Bloggers page with some of the regular characters that have been blogging with me the past few months. I realized I left one in particular Hooligan off the list, have no fear his profile will be up by the end of the week.
Let me know what you think of the new layout. What would you change, what wouldn’t you change? After all you are the reader….
Cheers!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THE COFFEE DISTRICT OF DELRAY BEACH, FL!

3 Years of being one of South Florida’s Best Beer Bars!
To kick off the celebration Chung and his staff will be tapping one of only two kegs of the Bruery Coton at 7pm tonight! I have also found out that there will be some other tasty treats on draft as well as in bottle.
Wait, why am I telling you with little notice….well that’s cause the party goes on through the weekend!
That’s right, The Coffee District will be celebrating their 3rd Anniversary Party Friday with Karaoke, and Saturday with Open Mic Night!
I would show up early tonight though if you want to try the Coton from draft.
I will be there right after work, and then will head home to watch my Florida Atlantic Owls beat up on the Blazers of UAB.
THANK GOD IT’S COLLEGE FOOTBALL TIME!

GO OWLS!

Well this past week was interesting. I learned a few things about jacking around with my mouth. Mainly, I learned that Listerine Whitening is the DEVIL.

Yep, while trying to safely bleach my teeth free from all the coffee and stout stains, I realized that this pesky little devil was killing my palate.
Well a few days removed from the evil stuff, I am ready for the “Meeting of the Minds” Part 3. Like movies we found out last time that the sequal wasnt as good as the original, but something tells me the thrid time around will be just right. A smaller group of Social Media Nerds (like myself) will be meeting at a private (well its public, but its hidden) location in Miami Beach with some of the head honcho’s in the beer community. What will be discussing??? Stay tuned for a follow up….and maybe a review or two.

Well I know it is Saturday and all, but i figured I would start a post on my thoughts on Monday’s. Particularly this Monday in the treasure coast of Florida. Man, they really suck!
That’s right Borat. Monday’s usually do suck, but not this Monday in Port Saint Lucie.
Why?
Well this Monday at Vine and Barley in Port Saint Lucie, the crew will be holding an EPIC Brooklyn Kegging. The kegs include the newest Brewmaster’s Reserve Buzz Bomb, Black Chocolate Stout (aged delicately for 8 mths!), Summer Ale, and Lager. While the Lager and Summer Ale will be on tap all day for only $2.95; the special beers will be tapped at 6PM SHARP! Some drawings will be had for a chance to win a bottle of Brooklyner Schneider Hopfen-Weisse.
So in other words…I think you should stop by and check it out.

Howdy Readers!
I figured a late night post would be fitting since today was pretty Epic in a Beer Geek kind of way. Why do you ask…..well if a picture says a thousand words then

Yep..that was this afternoon with several friends. The lineup was impressive and so was the conversation that went with it all. The idea of Big Beers, Little Thoughts is being held off for another time….so watch out for that.
As for the near future of the blog (this upcoming week), I (The Ferm) was actually held hostage by these two lovely ladies and was forced to hand the blog over to them for one week.

So Welcome to Ladies Week…..Don’t let the name deceive you though, these two ladies know their beer and sampled some high ranking beers off Beer Advocate and RateBeer. Infact they sampled some beers that had El Guapo himself wanting to join in for ladies week….

Sorry El Guapo not this week….maybe soon you can join back in….maybe!
Well anyways enjoy the week, I know I did as well as my liver (it was appreciative of the break!)
